Portland, ME: Chisholm Brothers, 1891 Good condition with small chip on spine, light edge wear. Cover binding strong. Content clean and unmarked. 12 pages of folding accordian-like panels of illustrations of Chicago scenes-- buildings, parks, landmarks, points of interest. 36 illustrations of varying size, including a two page birds-eye view of Chicago. Internal paper binding is inherently weak, but still holding. Several of the illustrations have closed tears and several folds have been repaired. Published as a tourist souvenir for the railroad trade.

Front Royal, VA: Victory Handbook Series , 1944 Very Good Minus condition, spiral bound with light cover wear. A "stock" book filled with 52 pages patriotic information, first aid info and tips on how to cop with World War II rationing and war restrictions. Added to it were "localized" pages unique to a particular local area--in this case Front Royal, VA. Additional unnumbered pages contain lists of local men in military service, lists of military deaths, local history and local advertising. Probably prepared and sold to raise funds for the war effort.

Washington, DC: Smithsonian Institution Press, 1977 Very Good minus condition with light cover edge wear and sun fading on spine. Content clean, binding strong. Color map end papers. 158 pages with index, numerous black & white illustrations. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall

Philadelphia, PA: P. W. Ziegler & Co., 1889 Good Plus condition. Original binding with 3/4 leather and brown cloth. Gilt spine and cover lettering still bold. Moderate wear on corners and edges, small chip in leather at top of spine and small tear in leather at top of front hinge. Leather hinges are worn and weakening but otherwise binding remains strong. No loose pages New end sheets added. Occasional small smudges are present, but no foxing. Content is generally clean and unmarked throughout. Pages have lightly toned with age but are not brittle. 78 black and white illustrations. Index. Because of size and weight, priority or international orders will have significant extra charges.
