Third edition of this work on British birds eggs with descriptions of their nests and identdification. 532 pages over the two volumes in overall clean condition just some browning to first and last couple of pages in each volume, occasional small foxing spots and small marks. All 145 numbered coloured plates are present with a couple of extra plates with a star after the number. Bindings are sound but with a few small splits to endpapers at hinges, outer boards are worn on corners with small patches of boards showing through. Tops and bottoms of spines are more heavily worn with small losses and small split to top rear hige of volume one 1½ inches long.
