S.l.: Barry & Fay's Comedy Co, 1882. Very Good. 1 card (12 x 7.7 cm.) with chromolithograph on the front of a man sitting with two ventriloquist dummies on his lap. The back contains an advertisement for the show "At Opera House, Friday Evening, March 17." No year or city are stated. No date of publication. Barry & Fay's Comedy Co., composed of Hugh Fay and Billy Barry and other performers, opened a show including the two-act sketch Muldoon's Picnic at Haverly's Niblo's Theatre in New York in 1882. March 17 was a Friday in that year suggesting that this card was for a performance at a different theater the same year. Scarce. In Very Good Condition: small scrape on lower left of front; corners are slightly rubbed; 1-x-2-cm. scape at upper edge of back; otherwise, clean and solid.

Publisher's advertisements inside front wrapper and on both sides of back wrapper. Former owner's name in pencil at upper edge of front wrapper: C. Warren Miller. With: the program (folded) from a performance of this play in 1921 at the Union M. E. Church in Philadelphia. Miller was the stage manager; names of actors and performance date and location are written in pencil on p. 3 of the script. Walter Ben Hare (1880-1950) was a U.S. Weather Bureau meteorologist who wrote plays and acted in the Phoenix Little Theatre in his free time. Scarce. Porter (1870-1941) was was an important early cinematographer with the Edison Manufacturing Company and the Famous Players Film Company. He took charge of motion picture production at Edison's New York studio in 1899 and in the early 20th century was the most influential filmmaker in the United States. His most famous film is The Great Train Robbery produced in 1903. After directing his last film in 1915, Niagara Falls, he continued to invent and improve motion picture equipment. Translated from Jerome Ravel's original French manuscript by W. Corbyn. Includes cast list with Antoine Ravel in the title role and Jerome Ravel as Don Brocolo. Jerome and Antoine Ravel were part of the performing Ravel family who first came to the United States in 1832. After touring in the United States and Europe for many years, they retired to France in about 1867. Very scarce. No date of publication. Although the imprint is "Robert M. De Witt," which should not have been used after he died in 1877, the series listing goes up to no. 317, which was published around 1882. Buffalo, NY: Hecker-H-O Co, 1936. Paperback. Very Good. 72, [24] p.: full-page black-and-white illustrations, color comic strips; 18 cm. Paperback with illustrated cover. The final 24 pages contain 12 2-page comic strips, each with 12 panels. The book is based on Bobby Benson and the B-Bar-B Riders, a radio program broadcast from 1932 to 1936, sponsored by cereal manufacturer Hecker H0O Co. of Buffalo. The first illustration is a black-and-white photograph of William Halop (1920-1976), who played Bobby Benson on the first iteration of the radio show, which ran 15-minutes episodes. It was revived from 1949 to 1955 with 30-minute episodes and different leads. In Very Good Condition: edges rubbed; minor loss at tail of spine; cover is slightly soiled; upper corner of back cover creased; pages are clean and bright.

New York: s.n., 1956. Paperback. Very Good. [12] p.: illustrations; 30 cm. The Boy Friend ran on Broadway from Sept. 30, 1954 to Nov. 26, 1955. For the first 11 months it featured Julie Andrews as Polly, in her Broadway debut. That role was filled by Jo Ann Bayless for the final three months, after Andrews left to star in My Fair Lady. Bayless continued in the role during the subsequent tour in the United States. Jo Ann Bayless is listed in this program. "Jan 56" is written on the front, suggesting that this program was from the tour in 1956, rather than the end of the Broadway production. It includes head shots of the leads and many production shots. The back contains an ad for Silk Stockings at the Imperial Theatre, New York City. In Very Good Condition: corners slightly creased; cover lightly soiled; interior clean and bright.

Publisher's advertisement of Random House plays on back section of dust jacket. Contains two plays, Boy Meets Girl, which opened at the Cort Theatre in New York City on Nov. 27, 1935, and Spring Song, which opened at the Morosco Theatre on Oct. 8, 1934. Boy Meets Girl was the basis of the 1938 movie of the same name about a pair of screenwriters starring James Cagney and Pat O'Brien. Book is in Very Good Condition: slightly cocked; ends of spine lightly rubbed; clean and tight. Contains 20 engraved portraits by R. Cooper of famous contemporary actors and dancers, including Sarah Siddons as Lady Macbeth, Edmund Kean as Richard III, Samuel Simmonds as Baron Munchausen, dancers Lisa Noblet, Felicite Hullin, and Etienne Le Blond, opera singer Giuseppe de Begnis, and Henry Gattie, Maria Theresa Bland, Sarah Booth, Frances Copeland, and Charles Young. The plates have not been hand-colored. New Hope, Pa: Bucks County Playhouse, 1941. Good -. 3, [1] p.; 24 cm. Illustrated advertisement for Flemington Fur Co. on back. The program for the final week (the week of Sept. 15) of the third season of the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pa. The playhouse was presenting The Guardsman by Ferenc Molnar, starring Louis Calhern, Haila Stoddard, Walter Slezak, and Edith King. Also appearing were Patricia Worrall, Charles J. Parsons, and Susan Dolph. Page 2 contains reflections on the season and comparisons to the previous season. Stapled to the upper corner of the front is a ticket stub from the final performance on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 20. Haila Stoddard was one of the original share-holders in the Bucks County Playhouse; The Guardsman was one of 16 productions that she appeared in from 1939 to 1958. Margaret Cameron (1867-1947) was the author of a number of plays published in the first quarter of the 20th century. This one-act play for an all-female cast (and one cat) is extremely scarce. In Fair+ Condition: wrappers starting to separate along spine; wrappers and pages are soiled and creased, with a shadow in the front wrapper; tear of 3 cm. from fore-edge of p. 11 through back cover, without loss of text.
