Paris: Les Films Haïk, 1940. Vintage matte-finish postcard photograph of Chinese-American actress Anna May Wong, circa 1940s. Frustrated by the discrimination and typecasting she faced in Hollywood, Wong spent the first half of the 1930s traveling between Europe and the US for stage and film work. She would appear in what many consider her best-remembered role during this period, alongside Marlene Dietrich in the 1932 Josef von Sternberg film "Shanghai Express." 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Near Fine.

N.p.: N.p., 1954. Typed Letter Signed from John Huston to Victor Stoloff, dated November 9, 1954, and executed on "Elstree Pictures Limited" letterhead. The letter regards an unproduced collaboration between Huston and Stoloff called "The Great Films Series," which Huston says he likes. Huston urges Stoloff to "get in touch with Morgan Maree and discuss this with him." Huston was protesting the Hollywood Blacklist at the time, culminating in his relocation to Ireland. 8 x 10 inches. One leaf, recto only. Fine, folded once horizontally and once vertically for mailing.

A dark comedy, chronicling the sex lives of two college friends over a period of 25 years, as they navigate their changing desires and expectations. Set and shot on location in New York and Massachusetts in the US, and Vancouver in Canada. Bifold. 8.25 x 9.5 inches. Very Good plus, lightly creased.

N.p.: N.p., 1950. Vintage borderless portrait photograph of actress Kay Kendall circa 1950s. Kendall is most known for her work in "The Reluctant Debutante" (1958), Quentin Durward (1955), and "Les Girls" (1957), the last of which she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical. Her career was cut short as she died in 1959 at 32 years old from leukemia. 4.75 x 8.25 inches. Near Fine.

N.p.: N.p., 1920. Vintage postcard-style photograph of Mexican-American actress and silent film star Lupita Tovar. With the stamp of still photographer E. Furster to the verso. Tovar was discovered in Mexico City by documentary filmmaker Robert Flaherty, and soon gained a seven-year contract with Fox Studios, moving to Hollywood in 1928 with her grandmother. She appeared in a number of Spanish-language remakes of Hollywood films, which were often shot alongside the English-language originals, including "La Voluntad del Muerto" (a remake of "The Cat Creeps") and "Dracula" in 1930, and starred in "Santa" in 1931, the first Mexican film to use synchronized sound and image on the same celluloid strip. 3.25 x 5.35 inches.
