It is also the story of how Vicky, educated, intellectual, comes to love Mik, an uneducated and sometimes violent logger with a tattoo on his chest that says Coffee over one nipple and Cream over the other (you’re supposed to ask, Where’s the sugar?). Is this book a novel? In the blurbs, Samuel R. Delaney calls it a novel, but Charles Bernstein views it as "An exemplary monument for 21st-century poetry." It has chapters like a novel. Each chapter is titled by a vowel, and, amazingly, each chapter uses only that vowel in its text.
