North Dighton, MA: World Publications Group, Inc., 2005. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Fine book in a very, very Near Fine jacket. See scans and description. This is the World Publications Group publication of ISBN # 1572153822; there have been at least three publishers of Sherry Marker's collection of big, beautiful, Norman Rockwell prints and engaging biographical information on Rockwell. North Dighton, MA: World Publications Group, Inc., 2005. Large Folio size - nearly Elephant folio, in fact; unclipped jacket with Rockwell's famous "Triple Self-Portrait" image on its front cover, and "The Marriage License" on the rear cover; glossy boards exactly matching the jacket; pale peach endpapers; 112 pp. Fine, lawless book - though with an endearing gift inscription to a Grandpa in 2005 on the ffep - in a very Near Fine jacket with just a small, faint patch of price sticker residue at upper right, front cover (zoom on that scan), probably…

Beverly Hills, CA: Robert Bane Editions, 1995. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. New. Elephant Folio - over 15 - 23" tall. De Berardinis, Olivia. Beverly Hill, CA: Robert Bane Editions, 1995. Olivia / The Lingerie Collection. First and only edition, and limited. Signed and numbered in big bold gilt by Olivia (see scan). Pristine; new, including the gilt on white Robert Bane encasing portfolio. Elephant Folio size (20" x 16") executions, one as frontispiece (the one she has signed), and six more, apparently mostly from 1984: "Sheer Magic", "Memories", "Kitty", "I Generally Avoid Temptation Unless I Can't Resist", "John Hancock", and"Between Two Evils". Absolutely succulent offerings, allegedly (according to the frontispiece) in a signed, numbered edition of 8,000 - but I have trouble picturing Olivia sitting and executing that amazing signature 8,000 times, followed by a different number each time. And this…

2001. Soft cover. Fine. 12" x 9. Burton, David W.. Original sepia montone paintings - 2 of them, the study and the final version, which are indeed difficult to tell apart - by the late noted science fiction / fantasy illustrator David W. Burton, who passed away on December 8th of 2011. Both executions are 9" x 12", Fine. Signed and dated, though in a different place on each of the study and the final. There are several other differences of note. Annotations on reverse in each case. Burton's painting is of Guy Davis' offbeat comic book hero, The Marquis, and was the painted study for the pin-up in the back of the 2002 issue, The Marquis / Devil's Reign / Hell's Courtesan #2 II of II (Oni Press, Ltd., 2002) - and is appreciated, and depicted, front and center on Guy Davis' The Marquis webpage . A copy of this issue is included, flat signed by David Burton at his pin-up page and in as new condition as far as my comic-grading experience can tell. See scans (note…

Collier, 1900 (1903) (see explanation below). First Edition in this form. A very large - Elephant folio - collection of black and white, and some full color, art by the estimable illustrator A.B. Wenzell; all of it being oversized as well. Some occupy two elephant folio pages, including a two-page color frontis. Illustrated beige boards and quarter cloth, unpaginated. Very Good. Some small-scale wear at edges and corners and a bit of soiling; a little weakness at front hinge. Handsome and really quite tight for the condition this book is usually found in. Large reproductions of drawings by Wenzell, depicting courtship, recreation, and other aspects of life at the turn of the century, in America and England. The Spring, 1944 "Railley Pin-It-Ups" edition; in fact, Railley wrappers around a Zoe Mozert booklet of her mutoscope pin-up art, each example of which bears her imprinted signature as well as the monogram of Brown & Bigelow, the mutoscope card folks. Not actually cars, but the same art with dotted lines (not perforated) along which to cut the pin-ups out. See sample scans. 24mo, illustrated wraps (double wraps, Railley's around Mozert's, as noted above), 24 interior "pages" (each page being a Mozert pin-up on the recto, and a mildly bawdy cartoon on the verso, those cartoons being uncredited). 11 leaves are pin-ups + cartoon, the twelve is a delightful cottage-in-the-woods-with-flowers piece - that last one not being imprinted with Mozert's signature, but it does bear the same Brown * Bigelow monogram, it is within…

1995. Soft cover. Fine. Rosema, Scott. Scott Rosema: 1995 original ink & pencil art on illustration paper, 'The Fly [alien]'. Paper is 13" x 16", and the image continues nearly to the edges. Initialed in his stylized way at lower right. Fine. See scans. An extraordinarily textured, detailed, labor-intensive piece by Rosema of a fly-like alien apparently floating amid unidentifiable debris in - is it space, or another dimension ? A sizable and wordlessly impactful Rosema effort; matt and frame it, and stick this one front and center on a long zenny white wall - or a black one. Maximal creep-out effect. Unpublished, or so I'm told, so it's all yours - though no doubt reproduction rights are retained by Rosema. L308

Translation of Emlen Etting, with his original illustrations. Typed manuscript, title page + 28 pp., dated 1953, with pencil ms. emendations and six original erotic ink and water-color illustrations by noted painter Emlen Etting, signed. An unpublished translation of Rainer Maria Rilke's prose poem (1899) of war, love, and sex, and the surreal but heroic death of Christoph Rilke in the seventeenth century, accompanied by what would have been its erotic illustrations. Quarto, gilt-decorated buff buckram, 139 pp. Better than Very Good; spine a bit darkened, spine ends and corners touched, otherwise certainly Near Fine. See scans. Handsome, firm, and bright copy. Charles Ricketts (1866-1931) was a respected illustrator, painter, art writer, theater designer, collector and - briefly - publisher: he operated The Vale Press from 1896 to 1904. Among his more noted works as an illustrator are three of Oscar's Wilde's titles and 'Daphnis and Chloe' 1893. Not particularly famed for his fiction at any time, he nonetheless provided interesting, if unusually constructed, stories in this beautifully produced edition. l49n

No Location: Renaissance Publishing, 2006. Soft cover. Fine. 12" x 9. Burton, David W.. Original 12" x 9" painting, acrylic on canvas panel, by David Burton for the 2006 Renaissance Publishing E-Publication, "The Warrior Slave". Signed, dated '6 (2006), on the painting. Unframed. Fine. Burton, who passed away on December 8th, 2011, was a much-acclaimed, award winning artist who created work for a wide variety of publishers in the Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror and Comics fields. His works hang in galleries internationally. Burton executed private commissions for a number of well known authors and producers, among those Ray Bradbury, and Danton Burroughs described Burton's art as the best representation of his grandfather's Tarzan story-line in many years. Regarding that same illustrative sequence, comics legend Al Williamson said of Burton: "Its about damn time somebody got it right!" One of Burton's Mars pieces appeared in the Nov. 2002 issue of…
