This item is in Good condition with tiny skinned sports to the four corners here the photo was mounted in photo corners? in some album at some point in time. 12 x 8.5", head and shoulders B&W photo of Rothenberger signed in full in ink. the verso has to pictures: one shows a head and shoulders shot of her in "Schule der Frauen" and the other a full length photo in costume in "Der Rosenkavalier" (pfotos: Fayer Wien).Anneliese Rothenberger ( 1919 - 2010) was a German operatic soprano who had an active international performance career which spanned from 1942 to 1983. She specialized in the lyric coloratura soprano repertoire, and was particularly admired for her interpretations of the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Richard Strauss. This is a page removed from a programme for the Poppea by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of John Pritchard. The verso has a list of the cast for the Poppea in which Bible has the role of Octavia, wife to Nero, Frances Lillian Bible (1919- 2001) was an American operatic mezzo-soprano who had a thirty-year long career at the New York City Opera between 1948 and 1978. There is a stamp to the back: "Thanks for credit/ Bruno of Hollywood/ and then an address in New York City/ then Hotel Touraine, Boston, Mass.". Frank Guarrera (1923 -2007) was an Italian-American lyric baritone who enjoyed a long and distinguished career at the Metropolitan Opera, singing with the company for a total of 680 performances. He performed 35 different roles at the Met, mostly from the Italian and French repertories, from 1948 through 1976. Bruno Bernard Sommerfeld (1912 -1987) also known as Bernard of Hollywood, was an American photographer best known for pin-up and glamour photography of Marilyn Monroe and others. Beath is identified as a farmer in Glenvale of Kinross-shire and this thin book was privately printed for local circulation. It is a collection of some 30 songs and laments wedded to "some familiar and suitable ilt. The editor's note is dated 24th December 1883. "When John and me were married our haddin was fu' braw,/ My mither gae's a hundr pound, my father gied me twa,/ I dealt my notes baith left and richt when e'er I gaed to Toun,/ And weel I wat our bridal bed was gude swan doun." etc. Uncommon. (UK) This item consists of a scarpbook sheet about 10.5 x 10", with a magaizne head shot of Mstislav Rostropovich, signed by him in pen and a magazine photos of Sviatoslav Richter (piano) in profile standing (not signed) There is as well a small clipping of their recital at Usher Hall in the Edinburgh Festival August 26 and August 30 [1964] indicating a program of Handel, Hindemith, Shostakovich and Beethoven, the five sonatas for piano and cello. On the back of the sheet there is a newspaper clipping in Russian. The scrap book sheet is toned at the edges of the sheet, otherwise about Very Good. (0.9 JM ITF docket 49. Signed. Unbound. Danilova and George balachine both left Russia in 1924. Danilova toured for years with the Ballets Russes under Sergei Diaghilev, then with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo after Diaghilev's death.She was one of the biggest ballet stars of her generation.
