(USA) There are markings in pen on page 229 where masculine nouns and pronouns have been rendered neutral, (4 notations) and a single onation on page 230. otherwise Fine; no dust jacket as published. Red leather with gold cross, and symbols of the four evangelists, red end papers, all edges gilt, ribbon marker, vi, 240pp. These readings are taken from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible, the selection being in accordance with the Lectionary of the Book of Common Prayer of 1979. SIGNED BY AUTHOR to the endpaper, no other markings, but there is a rectangular piece cut our of the end paper presumably to remove a name, a faint faded spot to the upper edge of front cover, thus Good only in unclipped Acceptable only dust jacket with colour shifting to the spine and back panel, some edge chips and minor faults.DJ is in mylar sleeve. Smith was a chaplain with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and did graduate work iat McGill and Havard universities. No markings, but moisture instrusuion to the lower corners of pages to the book making the corners and part of the lower margins slightly wavy, faint water spot to lower edge of fornt cover, thus Acceptable copy in Fine dust jacket. Cloth, no page numbers [130]pp, colour illustrations throughout tell the story of Jesus with handwritten text by Hans Bouma. Poortvliet is an acclaimed Dutch artist and illustrator. In this work, which has a touch of the OLd Master's about it, he has "tried to tell the story of Jesus by letting faces and hands do the talking...they can express more clearlythe fact that people who lived when Jesus was on earth were completely normal folk...[who] weren't any different from us". Dark green faux leather, gold spine titles, 2044pp printed on onion skin paper with tect in red and black. As a bonus, ther eis a stapled bound booklet, laid into the book entitled "Saint Joseph Guide for the Liturgy of the Hours for 2001 No T-400-G, Catholic Book Publishing Co., New Jersey" .
