No date, but circa 1970's. Original blue stiff wrappers, spiral bound, 44 pages, 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches. Collection of food recipes and cocktails (about half the contents). Unusual. Very Good.

First Edition. Original three piece card stock volvelle or mixing wheel, 2 1/2 inch diameter. Advertising piece for 'Artco Inks' in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Very Good.

Columbia and London: University of Missouri Press, 1978. Quarto, leather spine over blue cloth. Number 83 of 300 copies signed by the editor, in slipcase. Fine condition in very good slipcase that has been bumped along the spine.

New York: Bantam Books, (1988). First edition, second issue with blue dust jacket and table of contents. As new in as new dustjacket.

Los Angeles: No Publisher, 1903. 8" x 6" Photograph Album. Perfect bound black cloth over stiff boards; intact glycine sheets separate each of the grey craft-paper leaves. 48 black and white sepia toned photos. (Not included in that number is one page of miniature photo proofs cut in strips pasted in; as well as several smaller sections of proofs laid in). Many of the album pages include the notation of dates and place names. This album seems to document a family on its travels over a period of time dating from July 4, 1903 to August 1905, from New England to St. Louis and California, visiting family and friends on more than one occasion. Locations include: Winthrop MA, a beach community and popular vacation destination at the turn of the century. It is interesting to note that the Winthrop Yacht Club was established in 1902, only one year before the dated photographs; at the time of these photographs, the Yacht Club had 291 members – and is in existence to this day. An uncommon New York City set novel of a young couple, the husband preoccupied with business and the wife who becomes a suffragette. Near Fine in Very Good dustjacket, chipped at spine ends and some edges.

New York: Harper and Brothers, 1899. First American Edition. Octavo, original green cloth stamped in white, light green, and orange, lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Near Fine with very light wear, one inch of fabric visible at front hinge due to binding error. No dust jacket.

Boston: George H. Ellis, 1883. Early or first American edition. The author was an Irish writer, social reformer, anti-vivisectionist, and leading women's suffrage campaigner. Octavo, original publisher's blind stamped green cloth, decorated and lettered in gilt. Floral endpapers. Very Good to near fine with a small short split at top of spine cloth. Very scarce title.

Boston: Copeland and Day, 1895. Octavo, publisher's printed paper wrapper over boards. Only the top edge has been trimmed. First thus. One of 500 copies on Dutch handmade paper out of an edition totaling 550 copies. Bertram G. Goodhue designed the title page and all of the initials found on each page. The date on the wrapper spine is 1896 but Kraus calls for the date to be 1895. Near fine, some light foxing.

Duodecimo, 6 x 3 4/8 inches. Original printed orange paper overs boards, black cloth spine, large folding lithographed map (30 x 38 4/8 inches; 28 x 36 4/8 inches to the neat line), with original hand colour in outline, with the major battle sites indicated in red, and an inset map of southern Florida (one or two separations at folds, a bit toned). The detailed map, 'Perrine's New Topographical War Map of the Southern States,' shows the states north to include a good portion of Pennsylvania, west through Missouri, and south through most of Florida, with an inset of the southern part of Florida, with sites of battles and important events circled in red. The text gives a chronological, day-by-day account of the progress of the Civil War through November 1863, followed by a table of distances, a list of casualties, and other statistical information concerning the war. New York: The Viking Press, 1937. Fifth Printing in Nineteenth Printing Dust Jacket. Large Square Octavo. Pink illustrated dust jacket, illustrated yellow end papers, illustrated by Robert Lawson. Signed and inscribed by author at title page. Very good in dust jacket with spine slightly darkened, two small chips at mid-spine, light wear to edges heaviest at spine ends and corners, fore-edge corners a bit rounded, some foxing to pages, pages with some smudging.

New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, [1891]. First American Edition. Octavo, pink cloth stamped in yellow. Of a total of 1500 copies printed, 900 were for sale in the UK, and 600 were bound with the Dodd, Mead and Company title page. Very Good condition, spine darkened, time toned paper. No dust jacket.

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1901. First American Edition. This copy with W. W. Denslow (of Wizard of Oz fame) autograph, date of April 9th, 1901 and drawing of sea horse at top of title page. A Good, generally worn copy, mild staining to top and lower page edges.

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1926. First Edition. Kahlil Gibran dustjacket art and illustrations. Collection of aphorisms, poems, and parables by this Syrian philosopher. Near Fine in better than Good dustjacket, some chipping at front flap edge (with some partial splitting), some shallow loss at top front panel, chip at mid spine and loss at top spine end.

Boston: Published for John F. Murphy, Terminal Station, Chicago and New York: Rand McNally and Company, (1900). Oblong octavo, softcover, illustrated wrappers, string tied. Contains photomechanical reproductions of photographic views of Cottage City, Vineyard Haven, Gay Head and other places on the island, together with views of Wood's Hole. Includes street views, hotels, residences, waterfronts, steamships, beaches and other views. 43 pages of illustrations. 6 copies on Worldcat. Near fine condition.

London: Grant Richards, 1898. Second Edition, first printed by Grant Richards, in a print run of 500 copies. Octavo, original cloth. An attractive Very Good plus copy, bookplate at front pastedown, mild shelf wear

New York: Random House, (1945). First Edition stated. Near Fine, previous owner's ink name on front free endpaper, in Very Good dustjacket, with a few closed tears, foxing, not price clipped

New York: J. H. Colton, 1844. First edition. 12mo, original brown blind stamped cloth with gilt lettering on front cover.Map of West Point in color, 13 inches wide and 16 inches tall serves as frontispiece. Map is complete and with no tears. Very good condition with some foxing.

New York: MacMillan Co., 1902. First Edition. Small quarto, original salmon cloth, gilt lettering and decorative dustjacket. Illustrated with photographs. An early account of the diamond industry in scarce dustjacket. This copy signed by author at front endpaper. Very Good but for several pages with stamp at margin for a monastery in Ireland, 'Leabhariann Lair'. A much nicer copy than usually encountered, cloth greening some, but firmly bound and gilt bright, in Good dustjacket, expected soiling, chipping at top spine area, quarter sized chip at lower rear panel.

London: The Crime Club, (1937). First English Edition and first printing with new title, originally published as 'Danger in the Dark' by Random House in same year. ''A girl who fled from a man she didn't love but was going to marry, to a final meeting with a man she loved but was never going to see again, a girl who ran through the wind and snow to meet love, and found murder.' Author's third book. Uncommon British edition. This copy with Adrian Homer Goldstone's bookplate. Near Fine bright copy with some dark brown foxing at page edges, in Very Good dustjacket (7/6 price at flap).
