This copy is discolored on the cover but the art is clean. This item was never opened or read as it was part of a closed-out bookstore's stock. One owner since 1968; he owned the bookstore and kept favorite pieces in his own collection, I am his daughter, sharing items here.

RARE ... NONE OTHER TO BE FOUND WITH THIS COVER ART! Slick blank book with cover art by Steven Cragg showing a caracture of Jack Kerouac hitching a ride. It will make that new book sound when opened. Spine has some damage and is cracked in one spot (see attached photo) but the pages are nice and square. Pages lined with delicate scroll art to encourage the writer who would be a fan of Kerouac. Good in Good Dust Jacket with lovely Holbein drawing. Please see my photos for the quality of everything. 1957. Book Club Edition: First Printing. Hard Cover. Boards and pages are fair, some water stain shown in photos, bright, tightly bound and sharp cornered. Scarce, Out Of Print. Dustjacket has worn edges. "It began in a rose garden at Hever Castle on a lovely day in 1526, the story of this love between a king and his subject which was to change the course of history; and it ended in blood and tragedy."

Illustrated with many nice color illustrations and collages including several pull opens.

The book is almost as new - clean, tight and unmarked with shelf wear on the corners and edges of the dust jacket, and some scratches. There is a crease in the DJ on the inside sleeve where the author's story appears (I have included a photo of the fold). Possibly never cracked open, great condition. No remainder marks, price clips or other imperfections.

Antique Collection includes five tinted postcards of the falls along with the booklet. They are all in very good to Fair+; please look at the photos; I try hard to make the images distinct. I offer the whole collection for $30. The booklet has a nice back flap that has not been pierced.

This book is full of great stories and photos, I even found my Great-Uncle Zeph Phillips mentioned and shown in a photo. I remember visiting the Shrine Circus here in the early 1960's and having him wave at me from the musician's pit.
I recommend this book for anyone who likes history, music and fascinating images.

This book was barely opened but it has one problem. The inside cover has a "crafty" sticker that is acid free. It was placed to cover another signature as the book was purchased used. There is a photo of the sticker in our photo folder. Bargained priced at $40.00 because of this sticker.
