Santa Rosa, California Black Sparrow Press 1994, 1994. Limited edition, one of 750 paperback copies published for friends of Black Sparrow Press. 210x146mm. pp. 40. Original decorative wrappers, stapled. Very slight marking to lower cover but otherwise a near fine copy. Lawrence produced this work for the Daily Chronicle while waiting for Lady Chatterley's Lover to start selling. At a time when a bill giving women the vote was passing through Parliament, the British newspapers were very keen on this type of material. It was discovered by Roy Spencer in the files of the Daily Chronicle. The book reproduces in print the finished manuscript version, the variorum manuscript version and the newspaper version together with notes and short essays on the publishing history of the work. We are selling 14 copies of this paperback version of That Women know best. They are all in the same condition as described here.

London: Eyre and Spottiswoode Ltd 1937, 1937. pp 60. Original cream boards with the insignia of the Order of the Garter stamped in gilt on the upper cover. Covers in very good condition. Beautifully printed in black and red. Interior is in excellent condition save for some modest spotting and discolouration to the end papers. This is a lovely copy of the full order of service for the coronation of George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the late Queen Mother), the 80th anniversary of which falls year. An interesting and scarce item.

With a single page introductory essay. A new book in immaculate condition. Using a Polaroid 680 SLR found in a charity shop these images, "small meditations on colour, beauty and time" capture the fragile, fleeting beauty of flowers. They are "a token of purity in an increasingly manipulatable pixellated world".

Slight marking to wrapper and a very small tear to bottom edge of the lower cover but otherwise a very good copy and the contents are in excellent condition. Introductory essays by Bonnie Clearwater and Christopher Knight and four appendices. Profusely illustrated with colour plates, of which four are folding double page plates. A nice copy.
