Unused 1958 Christmas card published by pioneering Shaker scholars and collectors with a section of the Millennial Laws describing the rules for Believers on Christmas day. Members are counseled to make reconciliation with other members and give items to the poor.

Benton Harbor: R. James Taylor, 1992. 142 pp. Stiff paper wraps and in good condition. Taylor is the leader of the small Christian Israelite community known as Mary's City of David. This work traces the 7 messengers from Joanna Southcott through Mary and Benjamin Purnell.

This small pamphlet provides information and rules on obtaining a travelling lending library of 50 books on economics for use at public libraries, clubs, or by groups of interested citizens. Apparently, at least 330 libraries on various topics were available.

Randolph, NY: Randolph Publishing Co, 1891. 42 pp. Wraps stained, chipped and are almost detached. A large two-page illustration shows the college buildings. There are two other illustrations and map. One picture has small interior images including a dorm room. This was actually a co-ed institution.

New York: A.K. Butts, 1874. Good condition with extremities rubbed. The title page has two signatures of former owners and light stains along the top edge of the page. D.D. Homes (1833-1886) was born in Scotland into a family of seers and believers of spirits. He was raised in Connecticut. As an adult he travelled widely becoming one of America's best-known spiritualists. In 1855 he travelled to England and across Europe to Russia. He lived there for many years marrying twice before ending his days in Paris where he is buried.

Boston: W.J. Reynolds, 1851. Letterhead dated Boston, Oct. 23rd, 1851. Good condition but likely had another leaf and was a stampless letter sheet. The left side of the letterhead lists 18 titles published by this company including music, poetry, schoolbooks and more. The letter to H.M. Vilar (?) is in regard to books Vilar wishes to sell to the publisher. Reynolds writes that they only sell current new books and that he would only by the copies of a speller for 8 cents each.
