From the Library of Henry, Duke of Gloucester (1900 - 1974), with his bookplate on front paste down endpaper. A lovely bright copy. Lacking the rare dustwrapper but somehow the light red cloth has kept its colour and remained totally unfaded.:

First edition in English.Page edges browned as usual but generally a very good copy in publishers burgundy cloth binding. Front board and spine lettered and elaborately decorated in gilt. Spine has oxidised a bit resulting in the gilt being a bit dulled. Original full colour first state dustwrapper, without any mention of this title in the listings. Wrapper shows characters from the 1927 Danish silent film directed by A. W Sandberg. Some chipping top corners but overall a very good example. The film was relased in England by Gaumont.:

Colour litho frontis by Monique Duclos.Marbled boards with printed paper label on front. Green dustwrapper printed in black and white. Very good copy.:

S.B. Publications, Seaford, East Sussex.U.K.,1999. REPRINT.One of 1000 copies of the signed limited edition, this copy unnumbered and unsigned. Llewelyn died shortly after this book was published while returning home after a book signing, so copies signed by him are scarce. Fully illustrated throughout. Lovely bright copy in publishers full colour wraps(the book was also issued at the same time in hardback form, but only 1000 copies were bound). A nice item of Bondiana which includes a comprehensive list of Q`s gadgetry from each film.

Southside. Edinburgh. 1969. LIMITED EDITION. 8vo. (8.8 x 5.2 inches). One of 50 copies, from a total edition of 450 ( including 15 copies bound in leather, and another 50 copies, numbered 1-50, signed by Goodsir Smith and Orr), this is copy number 50, signed by Author and Composer. Inserted at the front is a hand written poem, starting " Furrowed and grimeyed and grey / You strange survivor of countless forced marches" but without title or author mentioned. A fine copy of the book in a near fine dustwrapper that has one small closed tear, without loss, to the front panel and a tiny area of abrasion to the rear. The first book to be published by Southside Publishers which, appropriately, brings together one of the best late 20th century Scottish Lallans writers, and an important part of the Scottish Renaissance, with the up and coming musician and Opera composer, Orr. A companion to Adamson's A Finding Alphabet. Top and bottom of spine a little bumped but overall very good in a very good dustwrapper which reproduces the illustrated boards. An uncommon title.:

Original full colour first state dustwrapper without any mention of this title in the listings. Minor chipping to spine ends but overall very good indeed.

Publishers red cloth with gilt lettering to the spine and illustration to the front board. very good copy with a neat previous owner's name to the front blank endpaper, in a very good original dustwrapper with an illustration to the front panel. A little toning and rubbing to the spine but overall a very good copy.

(7.2 x 4.9 inches). viii, 86pp. Illustrated with frontis and 14 smaller engraved and photo illustrations in the text, a mixture of views, portraits and plans. Original publishers brown paper wraps with dark green lettering and design to front cover. The covers have one small crease to the front and are toned and marked but still very good, while internally the pages are very clean and fresh.

Collins Harvill. London.,1990. FIRST EDITION. A very good copy with minor crease to spine. Fine full colour dustwrapper illustrated by Arthur Barbosa. The ninth Flashman novel.:

Red cloth on boards. Binding a little marked but overall a very good, bright copy.:

Chapman & Hall, London. 1948. FIRST EDITION. 8vo. (7.5 x 5.1 inches). With illustrations by Stuart Boyle. Publishers dark blue cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. Dark blue marbled endpapers. Near fine copy with a neat previous owner's initials to the front blank endpaper, in a very good original dustwrapper with illustration by Boyle to the front panel. One small whole to the front and a little toning and rubbing to the spine but overall a very good copy.
