STORY PARADE - A MAGAZINE FOR BOYS AND GIRLS published July, 1942. Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor that began WWII, magazines across the United States joined in an unprecedented campaign to inspire Americans to contribute to the war effort, by featuring American Flags on their covers. Many hundreds of publishers did so on the 4th of July in 1942 and again in 1943. This became known as the UNITED WE STAND campaign.
