This book closely defines the equipment that outfitted Japanese aircraft during WW2. There are chapters on instruments, radios, radar, ECM, IFF, cameras, machine guns and cannons, gunsights and bombsights used by the Japanese Army and Navy air forces. The opening chapter describes how much of this equipment was captured and now is in the hands of collectors and museums. The final chapter has additional information on colours and coatings used in the aircraft interiors. This book has truly comprehensive detail, and will aid collectors to more definitively identify equipment that many not otherwise be clearly marked.. Hard Cover. It has been written by a former Danish Leopard 1 tank commander and an active officer of the Jutland Dragoon’s Regiment. The first modern tank acquired by the Australian Army in the post-Second World War era was the Centurion, which began arriving in late 1951. The Centurion was a very formidable vehicle and was to remain in service for twenty-six years. Many were deployed operationally in South Vietnam from 1968 to 1971, where their firepower and armour undoubtedly helped in saving many Australian lives.
