The author wished to have profits from the sale of this edition intended for victims of a catastrophic eruption of volcano Nevada Ruiz in Colombia. Proof of his signature is authenticated with notary stamp on the colophon. Large octavo format with the type reset and pagination different from the popular or earlier trade edition. This limited edition being one of ten editions of El amor en los tiempos del colera, by various publishers in Spain, Colombia, Argentina and Cuba, where GGM's original text was revised with corrections (by the author) in a new edition thus, and with no statement of revision.;

Publisher stamp on title pages. Light rubbing to edges, corners bumped with small pieces of boards exposed, small pieces leather scraped with lighter undyed leather below exposed. Top front cover by spine on vol. 2 bumped in a little.
