These set of books are in an immaculate condition for their age. Many of the volumes pages are un-cut as shown in photos, and have likely not been read or touched much through their life.
To my knowledge these books have only had two primary owners. The first owner was Robert MacGregor Dawson, a prominent man who lived in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia his signature is written in the front of each book. Afterwards these books were purchased by a book seller. Then they were then sold to a living Nova Scotia Author who's owned them for the past 30 years. This is whom I had acquired these set of books from and who had told me the history about these books.
Each photo set and pages are all the cover book as pictured.
There has been some underlining in a few of the books which can be seen in the photo sets of these books.
Some of the books have some natural scuffs and shelfwear, as well as some browning/foxing throughout the pages of the books. Please look over each photo to see the condition of these books.… Leer más

First edition and appears to be the second issue of Idylls of the King by Lord Alfred Tennyson. Considered one of the greatest and most enduring of Victorian literary works. Printed on the back of the title page (verso) is "Bradbury and Evans, printers, whitefriars." Bound in full morocco with gilt titles on the spine and front panel, ribbon bound in, all page edges are gilt. In very good condition. Ownership inscription on the first page as pictured.
Shelf wear on the outside of the book with greatest amount of wear on the corners. Inside of the book, the binding and pages are in a fine condition given this books age. Binding is fairly tight overall, no damage to any pages, no rips, stains or tears. With the exception of the previous owners inscription from 1861 written on the first page. Some foxing within the book but mostly is found on the first and last few pages.

Hardcover. Very good condition some marks on the outside covers of the book. 'The Globe Edition' No writing/markings within the book. No ripped, torn pages, binding is all in great condition with no notable defects.

Soft cover. 1st Edition. Condition: Very good-. Doubleday Anchor Original stated 1st edition .
Some fraying along cover corners and spine, some creases in the spine but binding is fully in tact. Name written on first page and some writing and a drawing on the inner back cover. No other writing throughout the book. Some fading on the spine. Light tanning, text clean, binding tight overall. Edited by Angel Flores and cover and typography by Edward Gorey.

Hardcover, VG+ to fine condition. No dust cover. Published in 2006

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1967. Second Prining. 256 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth covered boards with silver gilt lettering on spine. Black and white photographic plates throughout.
Previous owners name on first page, with some other minor writing. No other writing or marks throughout the book. Binding is frim and pages are prestine. Gilt remains bright. Minor edge wear with most of the wear on the dust cover. Dust jacket in good+ condition, some wear along the corners and along the edges but no significant rips, tears or missing pieces. Light edge wear with some tears and creasing. Jacket has minor fading long the spine but front and back are full of color.
