Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning.

Publisher's green cloth with brown titles to spine, and brown dog device to upper. With the orange dust-jacket, also illustrated by the author, priced at 12/6. Jacket quite heavily sunned to spine, with some chipping and several closed tears to edges. Very good.

Yellow dustjacket with illustrations by the author, titles in black and red to front cover and spine, clipped. Internally clean, with foxing just beginning to flyleaves, negligible tanning to margins. Binding is rubbed, bumped to corners, with a slight lean. Dustwrapper is rubbed and worn, with chips and tears to edges and at joints, minor loss to spine ends, a touch grubby. Compiled by his wife, Helen Thurber, after his death, this collection represents a summation of his final concerns.
