This is a title transfer of a partial lot of land owned by Brigham Young to William Bond, containing several prominent Utah men's signatures as witnesses and notary. "Be it known by these Presents: That I Brigham Young, Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Great Salt Lake City, in the County of Great Salt Lake and Territory of Utah, the rightful claim[ant and owner of] the east half of lot five (5) in Block (13) as platted in plat A. Pennsylvania: S. A. Mitchell. Very Good. 1852. Map. Single sheet map, likely removed from atlas. Measures approximately 11.5 x 8.5 inches. Please note that we have not examined this item outside of the shrink wrap and foam mount that was added by the previous dealer. Map appears to be in very good condition with a few light spots of toning. This 19th century map of Texas was engraved by J. H. Young to illustrate Mitchell's School and Family Geography. Texas is shown in yellow with various cities, rivers, springs, and other landmarks in black. It includes two insets, one showing northern Texas and the other showing Galveston. .

The first free endpaper is inscribed by the author for the Olympic Club members, dated 1916. All plates present as called for, including one sketch "The author scalping a dead Sioux Indian, 1876."
