Very good with some soiling to boards and edges of page block. Clean internally with a few annotations in pencil throughout. Included is the supplementary envelope with Special Map "A" and four protractors (only 2 are listed on the envelope.). A few contemporary papers and supplementary materials for a course taken at the University of Wyoming are laid in as well.

Miniature book, 7cm x 5cm, 43pp, illustrated paper over boards, gilt titling on front cover and spine, black and white illustrations throughout, fine. The Rabbit's Nest was originally published in 1940. This miniature book includes the original illustrations of Harold Willard in a reduced format and Morrow's charming story about the Ticker children discovering a box labeled The Rabbit's Nest in their mother's closet. Elizabeth Reeve Cutter Morrow was an American poet, champion of women's education, philanthropist, and purveyor of Mexican culture.

Very good with owner's name to front cover with several passages underlined and marginalia throughout. Edition Aug. 15, 1919, contains a preface by E. T. Chamberlain, Commissioner of Navigation and approved by William C. Redfield, Secretary. Interesting look at the early laws governing radio at the dawn of broadcasting in the United States. Worldcat locates 4 copies of this GPO publication.

N.p.: High School Basketball Cards of America, Inc, 1992. First edition. 8vo, [X], 185, [1]pp. Photographs, illustrations. Signed and inscribed by Crowe to the former owner on the dedication page. Pictorial paper boards with rubbing to edges, page edges dusty. Clean internally and very good. Inscribed copy of this book on the important segregation era basketball coach and politician, Ray Crowe (1915-2003).  Crowe coached and acted as athletic director at Crisups Attucks High School, a segregated school in Indianapolis.  In 1955 and 1956, Crowe's teams won the state basketball championships, becoming the first all-black school in the country to do so.  Oscar Robertson and Hallie Bryant played under Crowe at the school.   After coaching, Crowe later served as a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 1966-1975.

Presentation copy with lengthy (3-4) page inscription to Otto and Carolyn Penzler describing how this novel came to be, and dated in the year of publication. On first leaf, the author is listed as Jesse Stark, though this book was published under the author's own name by Bantam in 1985. Warmly inscribed to a mystery book publisher, signed, and dated in 1984 by Grady on the front sheet. Contains holograph corrections throughout. 295 leaves, typed on recto only, and with occasional light wear. Housed in a custom black clamshell case with red spine label.

Interesting copy of this work by the author of the classic Gothic novel, Vathek, William Beckford (1760-1844).  The book tells of Beckford's travels and explorations, mainly in Portugal in 1794.  This copy bearing the ownership signature of British colonial official, Sir Alexander Johnston (1775-1849), who served as the third Chief Justice of Sri Lanka.

Wonderful publication from the Missionary District of Wyoming, now the Episcopal Diocese, with reports from clergy and institutions of the state, including Indian territory. Profusely illustrated throughout with photographs of buildings and interiors, church members, events, etc. Missions and districts include now defunct mining towns and smaller communities including Atlantic City, Big Muddy, Grovont, and others. Photographs of note of Chief Washakie and the Washakie Mission, the Wind River Indian Reservation, Ethete, and many more. The Wyoming Missionary District was formed in 1907, having previously been a part of the Missionary District of Boise and before that, Idaho and Wyoming. It became the Episcopal Diocese in 1967.
