Original Collier's magazine cover illustrated by Parrish depicting a seemingly uncertain chef sitting between the tails of two very large lobsters. Circa 10 x 14 inches. Scarce newsstand edition. Slightly off-register (see image).

Red paper boards. Contains description of food and retail displays including Hardware, Clothing, Holiday, Seasonal. Heavily illustrated in photographs.Includes chapter on Principles of Display and Display Management.

Unique original hand-painted in heavy gouache. Raised band border. Lays on art board that is glued to a back board. Produced by the E. E. Sutherland Medicine Company of Paducah, "Dr. Bell's" advertised itself as a safe, non-habit forming combination of pine tar, honey, glycerin, and various vegetable extracts which promised (quite inaccurately) to cure everything from the croup to the flu to bronchitis. Analysis showed it to be an alcohol-water solution, containing ammonia, glycerin, pine tar, sassafras, red pepper, and reducing sugars. The nonfictional old woman in the ad was named "Granny Metcalfe" and was used throughout the years as the face of the product, despite dying in 1898. Embossed metal with four holes for mounting ostensibly issued by Keppler & Schwarzmann as an advertisement for their volume LVIII, number 1496, November 1st issue of Puck but without their distinctive large format name which would have occupied the entire space below "What fools these mortals be" Diagonal white line at legs of Rockefeller and foot of Morgan appears appears to be a production error as there is no gouging of the image. 11 x 14.5 inches overall

Library stamp on first page, previous owner's stamp on front fly and first page, and pastedown on front fly. Spine detached. Otherwise clean interior and a rare find. 8.25 x 11 in

Original gouache advertisement for Threshing Machinery for the Huber Manufacturing Company. Central design elements create the look of a moth or butterfly where the wings are composed of wheat stalks. Matter with light yellow window mat and grey backboard. Overall: 10 x 11 inches; Window: 7 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches.
