Dj is missing the lower portion of the spine but has the front and back covers, which are chippes a little. Jane grigson spent time in France and was able to glean from the charcutiers many things which she now shares in this book which took 4 years to produce. Nice little paperback book. She spent 4 years doing this book and its a very useful book. small paperback book, quite rubbed and bumped, and a little dirty. Some pages are foxed and brown at the edges but the binding is tight.
