Although the book sports a 1961 copyright date, this one is from the 21st printing and possesses an ISBN, making it much more recent. The novel itself was originally published in 1859.

If the name sounds familiar, Lestrade was often Sherlock Holmes foil, but in Trow's universe, Lestrade is the mastermind and Holmes the buffoon. Originally published in 1985.

A fair amount of external wear, with bent corners, chips along most edges, creases on cover and spine, and a curvature to the spine. 599 pages remain clean, tight and intact.

Translated from Danish. First American edition. Very little wear. Two pilots from England are shot down over Germany and end up hiding as patients in a mental hospital for SS officers.

This is the first of eight books in the Home Front Detective series. This historical mystery is set in England during the first World War. The sinking of the Lusitania sparks anti-German rioting in London, during which, an immigrant tailor is killed. But there is more than meets the eye...

A Charlotte and Thomas Pitt mystery (#10 of 32). A historical mystery set in late 19th century London; the Pitts have to solve the brutal murder of a member of Parliament. This book has the usual collection of chips and bumps around the edges and corners of the cover, and some yellowing to the pages. Binding has a bit of a weakness, but nothing is loose at the moment.

No dust jacket. Red fabric covered boards with pale blue decoration and print on the front and spine. The fabric is worn at the corners and the top and bottom of the spine. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked. Might be a first edition, no additional edition information given. A classic western.

Set in 1929, three siblings find a dead body washed up on shore, which results in getting drawn into the alcohol smuggling world. Little wear, a couple pages have small bent corners, as does the lower right front of the cover. 252 pages.

This book shows some wear, with chips at the edges and corners and a skewed spine with a few creases. Pages are clean and tight. This is the fourth of five novels in the Gladiator series, the only works that appear under the Quiller name, a pseudonym used by Kenneth Bulmer, Laurence James and Angus Wells. This appears to be a fairly rare book, most of which are priced well higher than mine.

A rare book, it seems. This one has been read and still can be. It does have chips along the edges, creases on the spine and parallel to it as well. Bumped corners and a 15 mm tear near the upper left corner of the front cover. Pages are clean, tight and intact.
