Throughout the story Hugo is seen stealing things,eventually makes a friend. Story is told mainly though the pencil illustrations, does not rely on words to tell the story.. Large hardcover book in very good condition. Black boards with white graphics on front cover - white titling on spine. Red endpapers are like new. Pages are are like new. Closed page edges have a silver wash witch is very good. Dust jacket very good - only minor ruffling at the edges. Beautiful copy........
