Binding is solid; interior is clean but for slight foxing on page edges. Pages are about like new. Cloth cover is worn through at the tips of the corners; slight loss of color on the upper one-third of spine due to handling. A nice, solid copy. NY:: McGraw-Hill,, 1933.. Original edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Volume 41. 680 pages, red cover with gilt lettering on spine and simple embossed design on front cover. Ex coporate library (stamp on title page and pocket inside of rear cover--that's all). Solid binding; interior is clean but for library marks. Cover is just slightly worn and a little soiled from handling. A very nice, attractive copy. 6.5x9.5

Boston:: Thomas & Andrews,, 1808.. Hardcover. Fair. Fair. 5.5x8.5. No pagination (two and a quarter inches thick), 2 maps. Leather is dried and brittle; covers are held in place by two wide strips of old red tape; leather is worn through to boards for approx five percent of surface, including along the spine. Portion of the title on the spine that can still be read is "Ga..teer Eastern .ontinent". Binding is intact, no pages are loose. Pages yellow ed due to age and moderately foxed. No mustiness. Name of prior owner written in old script on the front endpaper. Old stain due to moisture at the top of the rear endpaper and the first few pages at the rear of the book. Parts of name plates on spine are missing including some text, remainder is legible; cover is worn through at the corners and at the bottom of the hinges. Endpapers are not split. Solid binding. Text is about like new. Very usable, almost attractive. Heavy.
