"I was finished 3 years ago, in the worst years of the Depression, so I have had to wait for a more opportune time." He comments that he is up-dating it. Also there is further discussion on Tom Roberts.

Harper's Magazine is the oldest coninuously published monthly magazine in America. First published by the Harper Brothers in New York in 1850, it featured serialised stories & news items & cartoons.

This treasury from Harper's files is the work of Alfred H. Guernsey, the editor of Harper's from 1856 to 1869.

Inscribed by the author/artist Gay Corran was born in Cambridge, England & moved to Hawaii in 1958, where she discovered the exotic & exquisite native flowers of the Hawaiian islands & began illustrating them in watercolours.
