Previous owner's name inked at top margin of front cover. Some penciled math calculations at top of one page. J. S. ("K. Lamity") Bonner, the white publisher behind this monthly newspaper/magazine, was a real Texas booster and a white supremicist. The letter contains a lengthy letter from A. J. McCauley, an African American attorney in Dallas. The letter is headlined "Inflexible Law of the Land" and starts on page 6 and ends on page 11. Bonner introduces the letter by saying he had solicited McCauley's ideas on the solution of the "race problem" and asks his readers to give the letter ..."a careful reading ... as this is without doubt the sentiment of the really intelligent and better educated portion of the negro race in the South. The jacket has modest damage at base of backstrip and some general wrinkling. The slipcase is sound with modest soiling and wear including a small heart-shaped waterspot on the back panel. The book is fresh and clean and even has the original unfaded and only minimally worn red ribbon marker. Copy No. 90 of the limited edition of 550 copies. The book is an account of Poncins' thoughts and experiences during 15 months in 1938-1939 spent in the Canadian Arctic, mostly among Inuit people living near King William Land in what is now known as Nunavut. Original brown cloth. 28 x 25 cm. Kangaroo was an American Western Film made by or for Twentieth Century Fox in 1952. It was the first Technicolor film filmed on lcation in Australia. Maureen O'Hara and Peter Lawford starred. Finlay Curie and Richard Boone had next billing. We don't know who did these continuity sketches. Wikipedia's entry for "kangaroo reports that it was remade in Africa in 1967 as "The Jackals" with a revised script and starring Vencent Price and Diana Ivarson. On the other hand, the IMDb entry for "The Jackals" says that it was a remake of a 1948 film titled "Yellow Sky." We don't know if either of those films included a cattle drive.
