It emerged as a successor to "Rezec" (1924-1939), shifting focus from journalism to more artistic content. The magazine featured notable contributors in 1943, including N. Tikhonov, I. Kratt, V. Shefner, N. Orlov, M. Dudin, O. Bergolts, E. Vechtomova, A. Golubeva, A. A. Prokofiev, L. Pumpyansky, and A. Flit. It was discontinued in 1946 by the Organizing Bureau of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks. During 1943-1944, the magazine had a circulation of 15,000 copies.

Lev Aleksandrovich Yudin (1903-1941) - was an illustrator, designer, and painter. His artistic journey began at an early age when his mother taught him the art of crafting paper silhouettes, often depicting various animals during playtime. He started attending the art studio of the renowned Kazimir Malevich and eventually pursued formal art education at the art institute under Malevich's guidance. In 1922, following the footsteps of his mentor, Lev Yudin relocated to Petrograd. The only published volume of this rare Soviet bibliography is dedicated to Russian Lubok songs, which held a special place in society's life and culture. Folk and artistic song lyrics were often utilized by publishers in the creation of mass visual products (lubki). Lubok, a beloved genre of Russian folk graphics, is characterized by its straightforward illustrations and stories derived from literature, religious narratives, and folk tales. These Lubki prints were frequently used as decorative elements in homes and inns.
