Produced, bound and issued for the 1960 British kitchen sink drama film directed by Tony Richardson, produced by Harry Saltzman and adapted by John Osborne and Nigel Kneale from Osborne's stage play of the same name.Blue card wrappers. Title page; 82 pages. Pages and wrapper Fine, bound with three staples. Title with the diminutive ownership signature "Olivier" in blue ink upper right. Light wear and toning around the edges, else fine. The film stars Laurence Olivier as Archie Rice, a failing third-rate music-hall stage performer who tries to keep his career going even as the music-hall tradition fades into history and his personal life falls apart. It was filmed on location in the Lancashire seaside town of Morecambe.Olivier was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

Graphically striking decorative title in red and white, with writing in black. Music to fol. 1v and 2r; fol. 2v blank. Piano piece, probably intended for children; more pieces for children, likewise obscure, advertised to foot of fol. 2r. Somewhat frayed and foxed, small surface loss to upper left corner. The publishing house of Max Pohl-Wohnlich existed in the early twentieth century.

A rare signed photograph from the influential American dancer, choreographer, and anthropologist who played an important role in the presentation of African dance to American audiences. Inscribed "To Paul /Best Wishes / Sincerely / Pearl E. Primus" in black ink to the lower right corner. The photograph was taken by dance photographer John Lindquist, the longtime photographer for Jacob's Pillow. Photographer's stamp to verso. Some surface crazing, small crack to upper right edge, overall in fine condition. 10 x 8 inches (25.4 x 20.3 cm.).Primus is shown in an action photo with traditional African costume elements and with two drummers partially visible behind her. Used; Like New/Used; Like New. Oversize exhibition photograph, ca. 1929. A finely printed original bromoil gelatin silver print measuring 16.5 x 13.5 (34 x 42 cm); with mat: 20 x 24 in (51 x 61 cm ). Stamped by the photographer on verso. In very fine condition. Although not so recognized today, Fitz was an affiliate member of the Society of Photographic Illustrators and the Philadelphia Camera Club and a highly lauded advertising photographer in the 1920s and 1930s whose clients included many of the era's largest American businesses—from Chevrolet Motor Company and AT&T to Ivory Soap and Ipana Toothpaste. Before launching his professional career in 1920, Fitz worked as an amateur pictorialist, submitting his highly aesthetic compositions to international competitions. But in the 1920's he switched to the precisely lighted, graphic style then developing as the modern advertising style of the day, a style he was very influential in developing.
