Uncommon early signed promotional still of the American actress from the 1991 Tri-Star Pictures film.  Inscribed to Paul McMahon.  10 x 8 inches (25.5 x 20.2 cm).  In fine condition. In the romantic comedy L.A. Story, Parker took on the role of a ditzy aspiring spokesmodel (who goes by the outlandish name of SanDeE*) meeting a television meteorologist; both the film and her performance garnered positive reviews.From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon's stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy's Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.

Used; Like New/Used; Like New. Manuscript for voice and piano/harp in an unknown copyist hand. Disbound upright folio. Bifolium. Title to fol. 1r; music with first strophe as text underlay to fol. 1v and 2r., notated on 14 hand-ruled staves; strophes 2 and 3 as residual text to fol. 2v. The text is by Stanislas de Bouffler (1738-1815). Title identifies Berton as "Member du Conservatoire Imp[érial] de France"; the word "Impérial" allows to date this manuscript to the Napoleonic era (1804-1815). 12.5 x 9.5 inches (32 x 24 cm). Very clean. Leaves partially detached. Horizontal fold. Otherwise in good condition.

Signed and numbered VI/VIII in pencil, one of eight impressions outside of the edition of 200. Unexamined out of frame but in apparently fine condition. NB: IN IMAGE SHOWN, BLOCKS OF APPARENT TONING ARE CAMERA ERROR.  Sight 20.5 x 27.5 inches (52 x 70 cm.). Signed and dated "17.11.59" on the stone. On wove paper by Arches (with watermark). 63.5 x 50 cm (25 x 19.6 in. Sheet: 69 x 53 cm (27,1 x 20,8 in). The motif was also used for a poster (cf. Czwiklitzer 368).

A beautiful original portrait photograph of the beloved American violinist and composer of Austrian birth who was one of the most important musicians of the last century. 11 x 14 inches (28 x 35.5 cm), signed in pencil by the photographer, "M (T?)ossuth." Slight wear to corners and edges, otherwise fine.

Used; Like New/Used; Like New. Large format original bust portrait drawing of the American composer/conductor/pianist, boldly signed in black ink "Leonard Bernstein" and by the artist "Bralow." Accomplished in graphite with white paint highlights and the name of the subject in gray lower left. An attractive and sensitive portrait apparently accomplished in person in Scarsdale, NY, ca. 1975. 17.5 x 21 inches (44.5 x 53.5 cm), fully laid down to rigid backing and matted overall to 22.5 x 26.5 inches (57.15 x 67.5 cm). Slight ripple against backing to right blank area, else fine.

Impressive and unusually large inscribed three-quarter-length photograph of the German composer, later "Master of Bayreuth," from his sojourn in Vienna in 1861, credited to Ludwig Angerer (1827–1879), imperial court photographer in Vienna. Autograph musical quotation to lower margin—an excerpt from an unidentified composition, one staff, four measures, 3/4, without key signature; dedication as text underlay and amusingly incorporating the composer's name: "Seinem Seraphinenpüppchen [to Seraphine, his little doll)] Richard Wagner."  The printed header, "Album der Zeitgenossen" [Album of contemporaries], identifies this issue of the mounted photograph as from the series of the same name that Franz Hanfstaengl (1804–1877), court photographer in Munich, compiled over the second half of the 1850s.  17 x 13.25 inches (43 x 33.5 cm). Otherwise in good condition.While the terms "Musicien du Roi" and "Academie Royale de Musique" strongly suggest a date before 1793, the identities of composer, poet, and dedicatee remain somewhat mysterious. Used; Like New/Used; Like New. An elaborate musical portfolio, red leather with fine silvered decorations. In fine condition.  8.75 x 12.25 inches (22.2 x 31.1 cm.). Together with two autograph letters of provenance, one signed "J. Lagarde," the other on his printed visiting card, relating that the portfolio was obtained by descent from a family member who obtained it from an aide de camp of Napoléon III, apparently formerly the musical portolio of Hortense Eugénie Cécile Bonaparte, Queen consort of Holland, stepdaughter of Emperor Napoléon I as the daughter of his first wife, Joséphine de Beauharnais.  The heavy folder is richly decorated with metal border fillets to both front and rear panels, the front surrounding an elaborate lyre with tree branch motif, the rear surrounding a laurel wreath and sceptre motif. No. 52. Decorative title with engraving by "Benjamin," depicting two feasting men at a table. Lithographed by Guillet. Slightly damp stained.The work is a short comic scene (soliloquy). The performer impersonates an English gentleman traveling to France for the sole purpose of gluttony. There are a prelude for piano and four couplets, with spoken text in between. The text is in French, with occasional English words and mispronunciations of French thrown in.Amédée de Beauplan (whose full name was Amédée Louis Joseph Rousseau de Beauplan) was the son of a military officer of the ancient régime who was executed by guillotine in 1794. Ravel has written 5 bars from his third waltz of Les Valses nobles et sentimentales, notated on a hand-drawn stave. Addressed to a Madame Catherine Parker in Chicago, with her name and address typewritten above the quotation, and dated 27 January 1924. 1 page, 4to, personal stationery; separations at folds repaired verso with cello tape, vertical fold touching holograph date with some loss, faint uneven toning. Together with a reproduction portrait photograph.The piano version of Ravel's Valses nobles et sentimentales was published in 1911, and an orchestral version was published in 1912. The title was chosen in hommage to Franz Schubert, who had released collections of waltzes in 1823 entitled Valses nobles and Valses sentimentales. Soviet-era aluminum metal sculpture, 9 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.  Signed and inscribed in cyrillic, representing the figure of a man holding a hammer in one hand and, in the other, a sword which he is making into a plough share, symbolizing man's desire to put an end to war and convert the means of destruction into creative tools for the benefit of all mankind. A large bronze of this subject by Vuchetich is preserved at the United Nations, New York. Scattered staining and marks to metal, else very good. Famous for his heroic sculptures, Vuchetich was awarded the Lenin Prize in 1970, was a five-time winner of the Stalin Prize (1946-1950) and received the honorary title of the USSR People's Artist.  His work, Let Us Beat Swords into Plough shares, received the highest award - the Grand Prix diploma at the Brussels World Exhibition of 1958. Oblong folio, in maroon boards, with original wrappers bound in.  Lithographed.  No. 66833 (no actual PNs).  Title, [2] "Performance notes" in English, [3] contents and "Program note" in English, [4–5] same as [2–3] in German translation, 6–15 pp.  12 x 16 inches (30.5 x 40.6 cm).  Withdrawn copy from Harvard University's Lamont Library, borrowed apparently only once (in 2008). In excellent condition.Crumb wrote his suite for American pianist Lambert Orkis (b. 1946), best known as the regular accompanist of German violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.

Includes 12 pairs of Elite brand eyelashes (100% human hair, trimmed, feathered, self-adhesive), 2 pairs of Andrea brand eyelashes (style 45 black), and 1 pair of Mac brand eyelashes. The iconic pixie cut and exuberant eyelashes of the singer and actress have remained constant throughout evolutions of her style. All in unused fine condition. Provenance: Liza Minnelli Collection.

Highly uncommon AMQS by the American drummer, composer, arranger, and music director:  14 measures from London Suite, Part II, melody only, notated on one staff.  Inscribed, "regards / Louie Bellson / 4/20/83."  Sheet cut from 12-staff pad.  11 x 8 inches (28 x 20.5 cm).  In fine condition. The second movement of London Suite, marked "slow + solemn" in this quotation, is a vocal episode in the style of a funeral march, performed by a chorus.  "Bellson [born Balassoni] performed with, among others, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Sammy Davis Jr., Tommy Dorsey, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, Woody Herman, Harry James, Oscar Peterson, Mel Tormé, Sarah Vaughan, and Pearl Bailey, to whom he was married. Important and extremely rare early original drawings by the legendary singer-songwriter, who has penned a series of three captioned drawings on the blank side of a Columbia Records Handelok record bag during the historic "Basement Tapes" recording sessions at Big Pink, and including a variation of the opening of the song "Long Distance Operator."  Obtained by Bonnie Diamond, then girlfriend of Levon Helm (drummer and vocalist of The Band), West Saugerties, NY, Summer 1967, and with her autograph shopping list to the verso of the bag. 8 x 10.5 inches. Rear Columbia logo panel with some rears, a few small stains, overall in very fine condition.
