An Act to allow for Three Years, and until Six Weeks after the Commencement of the then next Session of Parliament, the Importation into Ports specially appointed by His Majesty, within the Provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, of the Articles therein enumerated, and the Re-exportation thereof from such Ports. #4) 1820. An Act to allow a Drawback on Goods, Wares and Merchandise imported into any British Colony or Plantation in America, on the exportation thereof to any foreign Country to which they may be legally exported. This act imposes duties on several goods and continues a former act relating to the same.

A Duty Drawback provides exporters with a refund of customs duty paid on unused imported goods, or goods that will be treated, processed or incorporated into other goods for export. 11-1/2 x 6-7/8 inches. 2 pages [41]-42. Disbound. Very good+ condition.

#5) 1839. An Act to Amend an Act of the last Session of Parliament for making temporary Provision for the Government of Lower Canada. Re-enabled the ability for the government to impose taxes limited to public works. Increased the minimum number of members of the "Special Council" to 20. Protected the clergy from any laws made by the "Special Council". 12" by 8" - From 577 to 580 pp

"copies or extracts of any correspondence, petitions or memorials relative to the repeal of the navigation laws, which may have been sent home by the governor of New Brunswick." "(Lord George Bentinck.)" Self-government was granted to the colony by Britain in 1848. On July 1, 1867, New Brunswick became one of the four original provinces of the Dominion of Canada. 21 July 1848
