Sobre este artículo

Easton, PA: First Reformed Church, 1951. Paperback. Good+/None. Softcover, cream stapled booklet with red and black titling on the front that reproduces a flyleaf of the Schlatter Bible, 'Biblia Die Gantze Heilige Schrifft.' Light edgewear and light soiling. Interior unmarked. Not a reprint or print-on-demand. BOOK INFO: The Synod of Holland sent Rev. Michael Schlatter to the American colonies in 1746 to organize congregations from the scattered members of the German Reformed Church into what is now the First Reformed Church, the oldest church in Easton, PA. He presented them the Schlatter Bible, which remains in the church's possession to this day. This pamphlet gives a brief history of the church, phases of remodeling over its history, and a rationale for the 1951 restoration campaign. Some of the original electrical wiring installed in 1889 was still in use at the time this brochure was written! Illustrated with centerfold B&W plan for the view of the Chancel and South Wall, along with pretty red, vine-motif initial capital lettering throughout. Easton, Penna.; Pennsylvania; George A. Creitz, Minister;
