Sobre este artículo
This is a vintage copy of "The £1,000,000,000 Bank-Note" by MARK TWAIN. Circa 1947 (based on the date of the introduction); The Comet Press; New York. The book features illustrations in color by Marvin Bileck. Limited Edition - this copy is one of only 1,700 printed.
From a review: "'The £1,000,000 Bank-Note' charts the magical rags-to-riches ascent of a virtuous and resourceful mining broker's clerk from San Francisco who arrives in London with a single dollar in his pocket, and proceeds to ultimate and splendid financial success and fame in London society - a paean to ingenuity and a celebration of its cunning confidence-man narrator."
Condition:
Light soiling to the covers; the front cover has some light foxing along the top and bottom edges; the back cover has some staining. Clean spine. Tiny cloth tears at 3 of the cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Nice interior - the text pages are clean with only a small, light foxing spot at the outer margin of page 46. There is foxing along the gutter between the end papers and pastedowns. Overall the book is in Very Good- condition.
