Printed form, accomplished by hand, reporting Bobb's grades in Algebra, American History, Greek, Latin, and English History, for the term ending 29 November 1892. Signed by H.L. Beam, President. Accompanied by seven (7) excuses from compulsory Chapel, the reasons written in pencil and signed by Dwight Bobb. In the original mailing envelope addressed to Dr. D.B. Bobb of Dakota, Illinois. "The Interior Academy of Northern Illinois, formerly known as the Northern Illinois College, was founded in Dakota in 1881, under the leadership of the Rev. Frank C. Wetzel, pastor of the Reformed church of Dakota. Rev. Wetzel conducted the work for six years and then left ... The academy has since been presided over by Professor W. W. Chandler, Rev. H. L. Beam...." (History of Dakota Township by Addison Fulwider, 1910). Dr. D.B. Bobb emigrated from Pennsylvania to Illinois with his parents in 1845, was graduated from Chicago Medical College and Linn University, and moved to Dakota, IL in 1867, built up a fine practice, fathered two children including Dwight, &c. (Tilden, History of Stephenson County, Illinois, 1880).
