Sobre este artículo
Washington, D.C: Government Printing Office, 1904. Book. Very Good. Original Cloth. First Edition. First Edition. Quarto (9.5" x 12"), black library buckram with gilt spine title. 28 pages of text detailing the objectives and technological applications of the expedition for photographing the corona at the eclipse, followed by 18 full page photographic plates plus 2 diagrams of the Bolometric apparatus for photographing the eclipse. Photographs include the apparatus, the camp and installation of the expedition and 12 photographs of the solar eclipse at the inner corona and prominences. A tight sound copy with moderate dust soiling but excellent clean and unblemished photographic plates. Very striking examples of early astrophysical photographs. Ex-library but moderately so with no card pocket and only a couple of dime sized library stamps after the copyright page (a couple in margins of plates). Bookplate to pastedown and perforation to title page. Very good. Scarce..
