Argyll Publishing. 1998 1st.. 8.5 x 11.0 inches. In brown cloth covers with gilt to spine. With illustrated dustwrapper. Light brown endpapers. In near fine condition with very good dustwrapper. (d/w. Small marks to front. Not price clipped). A very clean and tight copy. 143 pp. With b/w photographs, illustrations and maps. The author, while a POW in Stalag Luft lll, began a newspaper for the prisoners. The daily Recco was pinned to the wall and copies were kept and are held in the RAF museum, Hendon. Some are reproduced here. The author also records his own war experiences and years of incarceration.

The Antique Map & Bookshop was established in 1976 and has been in Puddletown since 1978. PUDDLETOWN is situated just outside DORCHESTER in the county of DORSET, on the A35 to BOURNEMOUTH. The village has a by-pass now which means there is easy access to the village and ample space for parking. Our shop is directly on the main road through the village.
