Wraps generally stained, bumped at the corners, pitting to the paper on the spine with loss of lettering. Square, bound with some reading wear, inscribee's name also on the half-title. One of Purdy's early novellas, one about an impoverished pair of brothers and their hardboiled life in Chicago.
