Slight crease to top front cover. Spine, covers & corners somewhat worn. ; Gary Brandner was an American author best known for his contributions to the horror and thriller genres. Born on May 31, 1930, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Brandner developed an early interest in storytelling and literature. He attended the University of Washington, where he honed his writing skills. Brandner's breakthrough came with the publication of "The Howling" in 1977, which became a seminal work in werewolf fiction and was later adapted into a successful film series. Over his prolific career, Brandner wrote numerous novels and short stories, often blending elements of horror, suspense, and mystery. His works are characterized by their compelling plots, well-developed characters, and atmospheric settings. Brandner's influence on the horror genre is significant, and his books continue to be celebrated by fans of the genre.
