Sobre este artículo

Louisville, Kentucky: Trout Lily Press, 1998. This beautiful, lavishly illustrated First Edition traces the history of the Abbey of Gethsemani from a 12th Century French monestery to pre-Civil War Kentucky, where the monastery became the largest Cistercian community in the world and the best-known Trappist monastery in America, thanks in part to Thomas Merton, its most celebrated monk. The book includes 350 illustrrations, photographs, illuminated medieval mansucript pages, and other treasures from the abbey's archives, in color, sepia, and black and white. The book is bound in a woven pale gray cloth, with titles in die-stamped black letters on the front panel and spine. The book measures 9 3/4 by 11 7/8 inches and includes 246 pages. NOTE: Due to the weight and size, this book is for domestic U.S. purchase only (UNLESS international buyers email me in advance regarding shipping costs).. First Edition. Hard Cover.
