New York: Charles Scrobner's Sons, 1877. Scarce edition of tales and their authors, ranging from the Arabian Nights and Robinson Crusoe, to Scott and Bunyan. Brown covers with gilt lettering on spine and upper cover with black and gilt decoration, 237pp, with numerous b/w illustrations, some full-page, inc tissue-guarded frontis. Covers have modest wear to extrems and a couple of light marks. Some fore edges hand-cut. Light foxing to edges and prelims, neat gift inscription (dated 1928) on ffep. Overall book is in extremely good shape for its age. Ref:114813. First Edition. Buckram. VG/N/a. 13x19cm.
