INSCRIBED by the AUTHOR, 8vo, brown embossed-and-textured cloth with gold lettering on spine plus title & gold medallion of Abraham Lincoln centered on the front cover, folding map as frontispiece, Foreword by Glenn Frank, illustrated with 32 B&W plates from original photos, viii + 350 pages. Fred L. Holmes (1883-1946) specialized in regional history. He also wrote Old World Wisconsin, and Regulation of railroads and public utilities in Wisconsin. VERY SCARCE, INSCRIBED, THOUGHTFULL, SOLID, CLEAN, TIGHT COPY. Pages are uniformly age-toned. Slight scuff on rear cover.
