Sobre este artículo
The Macmillan Co, 1960. Hardcover. Very Good. Collectible first US edition of English novelist Colin MacInnes's Absolute Beginners, the second novel in his celebrated London Trilogy. Predating London's Mod era, MacInnes was often compared to J. D. Salinger and addressed the topics of youth, poverty, racism, drugs, anarchy and bisexuality - and wrote in the first person. MacInnes himself was openly bisexual with a specific attraction to black men. 223 pp. 8 1/4" x 5 1/2". Tight, unmarked copy with minimal shelf wear. Dust jacket with minimal chipping to extremities and faint foxing to back panel. A presentable copy of an important mid-century novel.
