Josiah Woodward was a 17th-century English Anglican clergyman who spent much of his career teaching on moral and behavioral reforms. In his book 'Reformation of Manners in London', Woodward describes his methods for eliminating profanity, swearing, debauchery, drunkenness, and such from people's lives, particularly those in the church.

This 1699 edition of Woodward features blackletter font throughout as well as a section entitled 'Abstract of the Penal Laws'.
