The large general plan has been previously repaired with tape along a closed tear. Gift inscription front free endpaper. Very good condition. ALSO included: a facsimile letter from Captain Cook, single sheet, loosely inserted. The letter is from Cook to the Secretary of the Admiralty in 1768, regarding the arrival of the Bark Endeavour in Plymouth. The facsimile was available while the replica Endeavour was in Melbourne at Station Pier in November 1995. Facsimile edition of part of Cook's voyage, along the east coast. Reproduced from the first edition (1773), 1st thus. Boards.
