Sobre este artículo

Arthur Ackermann Publishing Limited, London, first edition, 1983. Cloth, large 8vo, 31 cm,. 256 pp, numerous ills (some in colour),. An extensively-illustrated account of the history of this publishing and art dealing house, which was pre-eminent among early 19th century publishers of books with coloured plates, and responsible for large numbers of now very expensive books with aquatints and later lithographs. In 1858 the firm abandoned book publishing to concentrate on dealing in prints and paintings, becoming in the 20th century the leading British dealers in sporting art. Includes a list of "every known Ackermann publication since the foundation of the firm". Very Good in slightly torn dustwrapper.

Sobre Wykeham Books

We specialize chiefly in "books about books", the emphasis being on historical aspects of book collecting, production and distribution. A particular speciality is in bibliographies, of all subjects of interest to collectors, dealers and scholars, with several thousand bibliography titles in stock. Other strengths include extensive holdings of auction catalogues for book sales and a good selction of reference material on and facsimiles of illuminated manuscripts. We also have a special interest in rare material by or about Rudyard Kipling.
