Sobre este artículo
New York: The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, 1983. First Edition, First Printing. . Original Wraps. Fine/Issued Without Jacket. The catalogue for a 1983 exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York City, designed, as museum director Thomas R. Messer notes in his foreword, "as a balance sheet . of what, within a particular context, we value most and, conversely, what we at present most sorely lack." The context is post-World War II European painting and the catalogue contains the work of 27 artists born or residing in 10 different European countries. The artists include Bacon, Balthus, Burri, Dubuffet, Fahlstrom, Fontana, Hamilton, Hockney, Kitaj, Klein, Matta, Morandi, Richter, de Stael, Tapies, and Vasarely. 11 x 10 1/2 inches, 104 pages containing black & white and color reproductions on heavy stock with artist biographies and supplementary photos. The black, heavy card covers with red and white printing show minimal surface and edgewear. The text is clean and unmarked, tight and square. A collectable copy.
