Sobre este artículo

Andre Deutsch, 1953. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. About the book: Hardcover without jacket. First edition. Author's first novel. Signed by author to Neil Compton (Dean of English at Concordia) and his wife. They became acquaintances with the author while in London. The book is dated March 25, 1954 and since the book wasn't released until April of that year, one can only surmise that this was an association copy given to Mordecai prior to the book's release some three weeks later. The book is in good shape. The spine is sunned and the book hasn't aged as well as some. The pages have yellowed slightly and the book is slightly cocked; however, the book is signed by Mr. Richler. The book unsigned is a rare find and a signed copy is extremely rare. Additional photos available upon request. We're not satisfied unless you are.

Richler also won two Governor General’s Awards and was shortlisted twice for the Booker Prize. Mordecai Richler died in Montreal in July 2001. From the Trade Paperback edition.
