Sobre este artículo

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1950. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed. 8.5" by 5.5". None. A smart first edition of this novel from American writer and journalist Ernest Hemingway, lacking the original dust wrapper. First edition. Charles Scribner's Sons "A" to the impression page. Previously serialized in Cosmopolitan magazine in 1950, this novel opens to Colonel Richard Cantwell, a 50-year-old US Army officer, duck hunting near Venice, Italy at the close of World War II. The novel takes the form of a flashback detailing his experiences of war and his star-crossed romance with a Venetian woman named Renata. Written by Ernest Miller Hemingway, an American novelist, short-story writer and journalist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954. In the original black cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed
