Sobre este artículo
New York: Trident Press, 1963. First edition. 8vo, 312pp. Signed and inscribed by Metalious to the former owner and dated in the year of publication on the ffep. Cream cloth backed green paper boards with vignette apple illustration and lettering in green and red, in jacket. Cloth and page edge a bit foxed and marked. Jacket shows some toning and a stain to rear panel with light chipping around edges and flaps. Small tear at base of spine. A very good example.
Uncommon signed copy of this fourth and final novel from Grace Metalious (1924-1964) who quickly rose to fame after the publishing of her first book in 1956, Peyton Place. This copy was inscribed in September of 1963 just 5 months before Metalious would die of cirrhosis from years of alcoholism at the age of 39.
