A lovely first edition copy of this fascinating study of the furniture of Adam and Hepplewhite; written by the renowned authority on Georgian and Regency furniture, Clifford Musgrave. Within this work Musgrave explores the Adam revolution, the dissemination, craftsmen, types of furniture and the materials and processes involved in the furniture of the neo-classical style. This work is copiously illustrated throughout with one hundred and eighty-one plates with four colour plates. Complete with the original dustwrapper. In a cloth binding with original dustwrapper in brodart wraps. Externally, in lovely condition with only minor rubbing to tail of spine. Dustwrapper is sound with some slight marks to boards and tidemark to rear board. Some rubbing to head and tail of spine of dustwrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean throughout. Near Fine
